We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Permanent Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal to our operations in the technology industry, where you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support for our cutting-edge analytical laboratory instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DoD Biomedical Technician roles and have a proven track record as a service engineer. If you have a passion for problem-solving, a knack for technology, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional field service support for our analytical laboratory instruments including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
2. Serve as the primary customer contact, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction through prompt and effective communication and problem resolution.
3. Conduct on-site installations and provide training to customers on the correct usage of the equipment.
4. Document service and repair information, maintaining detailed records of all field service activities.
5. Collaborate with the internal team to share knowledge and contribute to team success.
6. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends.
7. Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
8. Manage service inventory and spare parts, ensuring availability for field service needs.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a DoD Biomedical Technician or service engineer.
2. Proven experience with the service and repair of analytical laboratory instruments.
3. A degree in Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or a related field is preferred.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong technical aptitude.
5. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle stressful situations.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
8. Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
9. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other service-related software applications.
