Mechanical Field Service Engineer specialized in automation for fillers and blowers.
Job Description:
We are looking for a self-starter Field Service Engineer with experience in the plastics industry working on blow mold machines. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.
Responsibilities
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
- Tie workflow to schedule.
- Manage on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Use field automation systems.
- Follow all company’s procedures and protocols.
- Cooperate with the team and share information across the organization.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Requirements
- Proven field service experience in the food & beverage packaging industry (minimum 3 years).
- Proven field service experience in automation with fillers & injection mold blowers.
- Experience with PLC, Allan Bradley a must, Siemens & B&R is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical automation equipment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
- Ability to travel up to 90% of the time. On average, an FSE will be gone for 3-4 weeks at a time before coming home for a few days or a week (depending on scheduling). However, there are installs that can take 6-7 weeks. Being able to be gone for this amount of time is a must and will be a deal-breaker if unable to accommodate.

Salary
$75-$80k base (could be more depending on experience level) + Overtime + benefits package
