About the Job
This Job Description applies to the coordination, support, and control of field service activities by providing customers with information on VAM products and technical support. Summary of Duties
- Take Customer Calls and coordinate/schedule field service jobs; perform inspections as needed.
- Put together Job Packets for each job (Job Sheet, CDS, etc.) and all other assigned paperwork.
- Monitor Rental Tool inventory to assure we meet the customer requirements and needs.
- Coordinate safety training for Field Service Reps and assist in tracking the training.
- Assist Field Service Manager with operating department within budget.
- Assist Field Service Manager with vehicles assigned to service department.
- Work with warehouse personnel on Inventory, Supplies and staging of tools for jobs.
- Assist Warehouse on the shipping and receiving of tool and accessories.
- Assist management in coordinating International Field Service requests and billing.
- Requisition and coordination of equipment, tools, accessories, seal rings, and supplies for Field Service.
- Verify Field Service Job Tickets and Service reports for accuracy.
- Work closely with warehouse personnel on Inventory, Supplies and staging of tools for jobs.
- Work with Inside Sales and Manufacturing on new products to meet tool requirements.
- Attend Customer meetings, assist Outside Sales, and Perform Customer Satisfaction Survey.
- Supervise and train Field Service Representatives.
- Work with Engineering, Accounting and Purchasing departments and assist as requested.
- Assist Management in the hiring, discipline and termination of Field Service Representatives.
- Available “On Call” in accordance with company policies and procedures to satisfy customer requirements.
- Must follow all company policies, running procedures, specifications and safety standards.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, or equivalent education or experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales and field service work.
- Thorough knowledge of drilling and completion work, and related tubular equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledgeable of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP.
- Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be available for periodic in-town and long distance travel. · Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
