Job Details
We are seeking a talented Field Service Control Systems Engineer to join our team and support the programming, installation, and startup of PLC and robotic control systems. In this role, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting and providing field service for these systems as needed. The position requires at least 25-50% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, read, and troubleshoot pneumatic and electrical drawings and bill of materials using AutoCAD Electrical.
Develop complex programs to operate devices and machines.
Use voltmeters and ammeters, and implement proper wiring methods.
Design ladder logic and machine controls using software.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members to determine machine performance criteria.
Lead and mentor less experienced team members.
Required Skills:
Hardware/Software Experience:
PLC: Allen Bradley (Logix/Studio 5000), Siemens (Step 7, TIA Portal)
HMI: Allen Bradley, Siemens
Robotics: Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa, Epson, Denso, Staubli
Industrial and Computer Network Communications: Ethernet, Ethernet IP, Devicenet, Profibus, Profinet, CC Link, IO Link
Servo/Linear Motion: AB, Siemens, IAI, etc.
Vision: Cognex, Keyence
Desired Skills:
PLC: Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider
HMI: Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Proface
Test/Monitoring: Force (Kistler, SigPOD, etc.), Leak testing (CTS, Cosmo, etc.)
Database: Ignition, FTTM, SQL
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of five years of experience in a relevant role.
Valid driver's license required.
This is a senior-level position offering a competitive salary and full-time employment. Reporting to the Service Team business unit manager, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects both domestically and internationally.
