About the Job
Georgia Pacific Building Products is seeking a Field Sales Manager to join the Gypsum Team in the East Region.
The primary responsibility of this position is to promote the sales of GP's ToughRock® and Dens® product lines. Identifying and building strategic partnerships with key purchasing decision makers and product influencers within commercial and residential segments will be critical to success. Business growth will be achieved by developing territory plans and executing on customer and product-level strategies. Key performance indicators are protection and growth of market share, improved profitability, and execution of divisional strategies.
Our Team
Location for Role: This position is home based in the Atlanta area and covers Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina (50% field travel). Georgia Pacific is headquartered in Atlanta, so individual will be encouraged to spend some time in the office for career development, building cross-functional relationships, and immersion in the GP culture.
What You Will Do
- Direct sales efforts of ToughRock® and Dens® product lines in residential and commercial markets in the designated sales territory.
- Utilize the Principle Based Management framework to assist in critical and economic thinking.
- Actively work within Salesforce leveraging analytical and sales enablement tools.
- Identify and build relationships with key decision makers for the sale of ToughRock® and Dens® (e.g. developers, specifiers, contractors, design build firms, and distributors).
- Collaborate with inside sales counterpart on territory specific strategies to promote and sell ToughRock® and Dens® Products, ensuring continued growth while maximizing profitability.
- Conduct product presentations and discuss specific advantages of GP's suite of products with key influencers (such as DensElement® Barrier System and DensShield®).
- Develop annual business plan for the territory with collaborative partners and key capabilities.
- Develop a pipeline of opportunities for GP's value-added products and manage them from specification to order fulfillment.
- Be a resource for product and technical information for direct and indirect customers.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Minimum of 3-years of sales experience
- Valid US driver's license and good driving record
- Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time in a multi-state territory
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, formulas) PowerPoint (presentation prep and delivery), Outlook (for internal and external correspondence)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, building construction, architecture
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM
- Demonstrated critical and economic thinking skills
- Proficiency in technical or value-added selling
- Experience in manufacturing, building materials, or construction industries
