The Field Sales Engineer (FSE) for our Conference and Discussion products will work remotely and travel (50%) across the US and Canada. Preferably the candidate will reside in or near one of the following cities; New York City, Washington DC, or Montreal. Other locations may be considered but must be near a major airport.
Job DescriptionAs a Field Sales Engineer, you will directly report the Director of Business Development for North America while working in concert with the Business Development team and Regional Sales Managers. You will be responsible for providing exceptional and proactive customer service and technical support for Bosch Conference and Discussion products. Responsibilities include:
- Build and/or review project designs and recommend appropriate product solutions
- Provide pre-sales training and post-sales support
- Provide quality technical support to establish long-term customer relationships
- Trouble-shoot hardware/software issues, resolve all technical issues
- Help customers with integration and setup of equipment
- Assist in driving product demand creation through end user generation
- Prepare and conduct technical / product presentations and demonstrations
- Participate in trade shows and share information on products and services
- Provide feedback to marketing and product management teams for future product enhancements
- Share ideas and customer needs throughout all phases of product life cycle (plan, design, integrate, manage)
- Act as primary contact for integrations with complementary manufacturers, ensuring smooth and successful implementations.
- Evaluate customer concerns
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and manage strategic technical relationships and opportunities within the Pro AV network. Candidate will exhibit rigorous strategic thinking and planning around building such relationships but with clear execution, strength, and technical skills.
- Bachelors degree in business or engineering; or commensurate experience
- 5+ years technical / sales engineering with a focus on managing high level, complex client relationships with (SLED) State, Local, and Education customers along with Legal and Finance end users
- A strong understanding of the Conference and Discussion vertical along with Professional A/V experience
- Knowledge and understanding of AV integration services and practices
- Understanding of other AV segments such as Conferencing, DSP, and Room Control including serial and IP communications
- Proficient in networking standards, Audio over IP, and API (Application Programming Interface) protocols
- Ability to read and interpret project Floor Plans and System Flow line drawings
- Strong ability to develop end user, integrator, and consultant relationships through interpersonal communications
- Aggressive self-starter and results driven, ability to leverage internal resources
- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and multitasking skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical, with sound judgment and a high level of integrity and credibility
- Ability to travel regionally up to 50% (passport required)
- CTS or CTS-D Certifications preferred
- Key AV and IT industry knowledge and experience is valued
- Existing end user and consultant relationships are valued
Additional Information
- The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 to $115,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. This position is also eligible for commission incentive program.
