Our client is as an industry leader in providing environmental construction services. They offer wide range of capabilities including environmental construction, remediation, abatement, demolition, asset recovery, specialty transportation, industrial services, emergency response and waste management. They are looking for a field safety officer to sit out of the Wilmington, CA or Fairfield, CA office.
As a Field Safety Officer, this role will ensure compliance with environmental safety laws. This professional works to protect the environment from potentially harmful business practices while also protecting employees from environmental hazards in the area.

- Essential Functional Area of Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including regulated training and reporting.
- Ensure the completion and regular review of Job Hazards Analysis for all work equipment and operations.
- Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure work safety procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
- Participate in safety meetings and instruct site personnel on different safety-related topics.
- Collaborate with Project Manager in the Development of site-specific Health and Safety plans.
- Liaise with external health & safety consultants, clients and State and Federal agencies.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by the Health and Safety Director.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred.
- 40 – Hour HAZWOPER Training.
- OSHA 30 – Hour Construction Industry (Cal/OSHA).
- At least 3 years recent and relevant experience in a similar role.
- A valid driver's license.
- Computer literate.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
