About the Role:
A Field Project Manager 2 is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects on-site, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the construction process, from planning through to project completion, while managing resources, stakeholders, and contractors.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- 4+ years of experience in construction
- Experience in fast paced remodel, tenant-improvement, multi-site roll out
- Familiarity with Big-Box Retail, QSR/Fast Casual Restaurants
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction industry and/or experience in carpentry, electrical, paint, plumbing, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and crews/teams at any given time
- Good understanding of MEP Building Systems.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Field Project Manager 2 include but are not limited to:
Strategic Site Oversight: Travel nationwide to provide strategic oversight of construction sites, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of project schedules, quality, communication, and execution across all locations.
Executive Collaboration: Partner closely with Senior Project Managers and Construction Project Managers, providing strategic input and adhering to directives to ensure the successful execution and delivery of complex projects and programs.
Advanced Reporting: Deliver detailed daily reports on project and program status, leveraging field observations and strategic insights to inform senior management and stakeholders.
High-Level Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication with key stakeholders, including field teams, subcontractors, superintendents, project managers, store management, and clients, to ensure alignment and address critical needs for project success.
Comprehensive Multi-Site Management: Oversee and coordinate construction projects across multiple sites from inception through completion, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation: Lead project planning and budgeting efforts, including the identification and allocation of resources required for optimal project execution and success.
Schedule Compliance: Ensure that construction activities adhere to established schedules, implementing adjustments as needed to accommodate project shifts and maintain timeline integrity.
Contractor Coordination and Management: Strategically manage communication and coordination with contractors responsible for various project phases, ensuring timely and effective project completion.
Leadership in Field Staff Management: Provide leadership and oversight to field staff, driving efficient project execution and ensuring high performance standards.
Progress Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of construction progress and facilitate status meetings with all sub-teams to review performance and address any emerging issues.
Budget and Quality Oversight: Maintain rigorous adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality standards, and safety regulations, ensuring projects meet or exceed organizational expectations.
Site Compliance Inspections: Perform frequent, detailed inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with design specifications and address any issues promptly.
Customer Relations Management: Resolve customer inquiries and issues with a focus on exceptional service and timely resolution, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
Dispute and Claim Resolution: Proactively identify and address potential sources of disputes and claims in project design and construction, implementing effective resolution strategies.
Quality Control Optimization: Review and enhance quality control processes to ensure that deliverables consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
Strategic Team Meetings: Organize and lead team meetings to review project progress, address challenges, and align efforts across all project teams.
Comprehensive Status Reporting: Prepare and present detailed daily and weekly project status reports to senior management and project coordinators, providing insights into project performance and progress.
Change Management Leadership: Support and drive change management initiatives related to project scope adjustments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
