Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee the construction of seawalls throughout Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all field operations related to the construction of seawalls across various locations in Florida.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all construction projects.
- Coordinate and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and resources necessary for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the field staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution and compliance.
- Implement and maintain effective quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and construction excellence.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on project status, including progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement, to be presented to the senior management team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on coastal infrastructure projects and seawall construction.
- Strong knowledge of Florida's coastal regulations, permitting processes, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of construction best practices, techniques, and materials used in seawall construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and creating a culture of safety awareness on construction sites.
- Ability to travel extensively within the state of Florida and occasionally outside the state as required.
