JNS Facility Maintenance is currently seeking a qualified, full-time Field Tech Manager. For over 30 years, JNS has been operating in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas as a local family-owned and operated facility maintenance company. With extensive experience in the facilities and cleaning industry, JNS is a service provider that leads by example in professionalism, quality service, and commitment to the highest standards of excellence.
The Field Tech Manager position is a direct supervisory position, overseeing all floor care operations and field tech personnel as well as facility operations and personnel within assigned accounts. This is a full-time salaried position that reports directly to the Operations Manager. The schedule for this position is flexible but will require work in the mornings and evenings. Additionally, this position requires the ability to respond to calls and requests during non-working hours.
Field Tech Manager Responsibilities:
- Schedules and overlooks specialized services and event cleanings and keeps accurate records of these events and resources used
- Plans and coordinates all daily operations for assigned accounts and work orders
- Supervises all assigned staff, including scheduling, monitoring assignment progress, and completion, training, and development of core skills. Ability to evaluate efficiency and provide constructive feedback regularly
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff
- Performs routine inspections and evaluates quality of service
- Identifies and recommends specialized services
- Responds to emergency calls, coordinates prompt action, and communicates internally as needed
- Conducts preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general management of equipment assets within the company
- Organizes and tracks supply and product usage
- Participate or assist in general cleaning or specialized duties as needed
- Researches, tests, and reports findings regarding new methods, equipment, or supplies
- Assists with the creation and implementation of training materials
Required Skills and Education:
- Supervisory skills
- Exceptional communication ability, both written and spoken
- Time management for themselves and others
- Basic computer knowledge (particularly data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite)
- Flexibility
- Prioritization
- Management or other supervisory experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Floor technician experience
- Customer service experience
- Cleaning experience
- Spanish speaking competency *Highly Preferred*
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
