About the Job
Accenture Federal Services, in partnership with Anser Advisory (an Accenture company) is looking for a Field Inspector to join our growing Utility teamson a multiphase, 6-year project. This project will make improvements to the electrification system to an area that extends 18 miles through Southeast Pennsylvania along 17 rail stations and includes full project and construction management of new transmission Lines, Electric substation rebuilds, and Electric overhead catenary wire replacement. The Field Inspectors shall provide oversight and inspection of the Contractor's daily work and verify conformance with Contract Drawings, specifications, and relevant Contract Documents.
The work:
- Review of Contractor deliverables including daily reports, daily work plans, schedule updates, payroll reports, DBE submittals, Force Account, manpower on site, etc.
- Supervise workers in daily operations and certify that work is completed per Contract Documents.
- Ensure that the work is performed in accordance with Regional Transportation client, its partners and OSHA safety practices.
- Oversees all aspects of construction inspection and construction reports that are required by Regional Transportation client to ensure that construction is in compliance with current Regional Transportation client, Federal, State, and local requirements.
- Monitor sequence of the Contractor's critical path activities.
- Ensure that all comments from Regional Transportation client are incorporated into the approved design and Shop Drawings, and that work is performed accordingly in the field, with inclusion of subsequent approved changes.
- Ensure that the daily workplans and related Shop Drawings are provided by the Contractor and in place prior to the start of work.
- Perform field inspections and daily monitoring of construction to ensure compliance with Contract Documents, approved work plans, Shop Drawings, staging plans, project safety and quality plans, and procedures.
- Maintain necessary training during the Contract Term.
- Each proposed junior inspector/field engineer should be experienced in their respective discipline.
Here's what you need:
- At least five (5) years of field inspection, construction, scheduling experience with a management/supervisory role.
- Needs to have 30 hour OSHA safety certification.
- Experience reviewing Contractor deliverables including daily reports, daily work plans, schedule updates, payroll reports, DBE submittals, Force Account, manpower on site.
- Team Lead experience with workers in daily operations and certify that work is completed per Contract Documents.
- Note: Will require 2nd and 3rd shift work which aligns with expected rail track outages.
Bonus points:
- A bachelor's degree or similar level of experience in an Engineering, Architectural, Construction or Construction Management field.
- Experience overseeing construction of electrical transmission, substation, and / or distribution voltage projects.
**Work location is 100% on site in Southeast

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
