This person will be responsible for taking field measurements and preparing drawings and staking sheets to generate job orders and work orders as assigned. You will become familiar with, and learn, the DEC overhead, and underground construction standards, materials, structures, and devices. You will become proficient in the use and manipulation of basic engineering mechanics and trigonometric functions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIELD ENGINEER - TRAINEE

• Required: Associate's degree in an engineering related field; or
• Successfully completed the following courses: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Physics
• Experience in customer service.
• Must possess a current driver's license.
• Required to pass all tests within the prescribed time limits to be promoted to each level of the Field Engineering Apprenticeship.
