Description
•Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
• Coordinates with superintendent on planning for the workforce.
• Maintains project procedures and Document Control. Supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings.
• Participates in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs).
• Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns).
• Coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Participates in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Develop and maintains positive relationships focusing on all partners.
• 0 to 8-12 months of varied experience as field engineer/coordinator preferred; time acquired during internships in the field may count as experience.
• Knowledge of heavy civil construction specifications, and methods and procedures
• Understands and applies construction principles to problem solve. .
• Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors, designers and inspectors.
• Develops and maintains effective partner relationships.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Viewpoint project management software.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
