Field Engineer/Inspector - Construction Materials Testing - Selectek, Inc.

Our client is looking for a Field Engineer/Inspector with ACI Certification to perform inspections and testing services on various construction materials, including soils, foundation structural masonry, fireproofing, reinforced concrete, and post-tensioned concrete.

About the Role:

• Conduct inspections and testing on construction materials, including soils, asphalt, concrete, masonry, and fireproofing.
• Review civil and structural plans to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Apply knowledge of ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, DOT, and other relevant testing methods and standards.
• Provide clear and accurate documentation of inspection results using field data collection software and Microsoft Word.
• Communicate effectively with project teams and clients.

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of experience in inspections and construction testing for soils, asphalt, concrete, and masonry.
• ACI Field Level 1 Certification (required for concrete testing).
• At least one ICC Certification (ICC Soils, ICC Reinforced Concrete, ICC Structural Masonry, ICC Spray-Applied Fireproofing, or ICC Structural Steel and Bolting).
• Strong knowledge of testing and inspection methods, along with industry standards (ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, DOT).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and field data collection software.

Nice to Have:

• Additional certifications from nationally recognized organizations (CWI, NICET, PTI Level I or II) are a plus but not required.

• This is a temp to perm opportunity.
• Pay Rate: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour based on prior experience
