Job Summary:
As one of the SCM Field Engineers, you will be in the field managing ground up and expansion projects supporting our site management. The position requires an entry level understanding of all construction trades including civil, structural concrete, paving, wood and metal frame construction, MEP, and interior finishes. As the Field Engineer, you will be managing support of the site management with the project schedule, project cost management, and managing subcontractors in each discipline for single or multiple projects ranging from $1million to 20 million in total project cost. SCM is looking for someone who is a self-learner, a builder of processes, and comfortable maintaining a work-life balance in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
Requirements
Key Results:
- RFIs - Target 95% responded to/answered within 72 hours/agreed turnaround time.
- Submittals - 95% completion with contract turnaround time.
- Weekly Task Completion - Target 90% completion of weekly assigned/due tasks.
Main Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the site manager as the secondary point of contact for all project stakeholders
- Supporting the management of discipline, inspections and testing, and owner subcontractors
- Supporting Schedule management including coordinating subcontractors, schedule progress updates, and driving work completion to maintain the project schedule.
- Supporting Cost Management
- Supporting Scope Management
- Supporting Construction permit management, coordinating inspections and subcontractor permit requirements
- Coordination with engineering and architectural firms throughout the project lifecycle
- Learning the design phase, utilizing existing data to maximize the properties potential
- Assist with sourcing bids from local subcontractors
- Assist with vetting local subcontractors for performance, cost, and quality
- Assist with discipline scopes of work to be used for estimating and construction
- Supporting the subcontractor selection and contracting process.
- Supporting compliance with federal, state, and local codes, laws and regulations
- Learning industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies
- Assist in annual planning and program build out of SOP’s

Qualifications:
- 1+ Years of experience in General Contracting preferred.
- 1+ years of experience overseeing Commercial Construction Projects preferred.
- Bachelor’ Degree in Business, Construction Management or Engineering.
Benefits
Compensation and Benefits: Salaried position ranging from $68,000 to $74,000 annually, per diem, health/dental/vision benefits, 401k, profit sharing, unlimited PTO, flex office hours, wellness & transportation reimbursement, annual ski pass, continuing education reimbursement, and other perks with an all-star team and culture.
