Position Overview:
The Field Engagement Specialist is a customer-focused problem solver who works closely with customers and end users to ensure satisfaction, retention, and compliance with standards. You will provide on-site support through surveys, inspections, commissioning assistance, and training, ensuring the effectiveness of our installations and the long-term success of the projects.
Location: Travel position with 75% travel to various sites within your region. Candidates can reside in the West or Midwest. This is a travel-intensive role, requiring visits to multiple sites within your region. Travel expenses including hotel, rail, airfare, and rental car will be covered by SALTO.
Employment Type: Full-time, overtime potential.
Experience: Security product experience in the access control industry is preferred, but we will train the right person for the role.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Advocacy: Meet with customers face-to-face to understand their needs, provide accurate assessments of their site conditions, and identify opportunities to replace legacy products.
Continuous Learning: Expand your knowledge of the technical aspects of access control, door hardware, electric door switching, power panels, and fire egress.
Project Support: Collaborate with project managers and field sales teams to offer insights into site conditions and potential challenges.
Problem Solver: Evaluate site conditions to reduce downtime, resolve customer hurdles, and ensure a seamless experience.
Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a SALTO ambassador.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience: At least one year in a trade skill within the low voltage industry.
Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage with multiple levels of stakeholders.
Curiosity & Learning: A willingness to learn, understand, and explain integrated solutions to stakeholders.
Travel Flexibility: Ability to manage extensive travel (75%), including overnight stays and site visits.
Driving & Passport: Clean driving record and an active passport.
Attention to Detail: Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely results.
Should-Have Skills:
Technical Knowledge: Experience with door hardware, electric door switching, power panels, and fire egress is a plus.
Project Installations: Experience with security products, including designing, selling, and installing door hardware.
Construction Site Visits: Familiarity with construction job sites, especially those under construction.
Installation Skills: Ability to install hardware with a set of tools available in your vehicle.
