Omni Wound Physicians (OWP), a leader in specialized wound care, is hiring Field Assistants to support our physicians in providing life-changing care across San Gabriel Valley, Kern County/Bakersfield, Ventura County, Orange County/Irvine, and the Greater Los Angeles area.
This position is perfect for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Medical Assistants (MA), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), Home Health Aides (HHA), Surgical Technicians, or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare setting.
If you’re bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or another language, and fluent in English (written and verbal), you’ll play an essential role in helping us provide culturally sensitive and effective care to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:
Support Healthcare Providers:
- Travel with physicians to patient visits, assisting with wound care treatments such as preparing supplies, taking photos, and supporting dressing changes.
- Ensure physicians stay on schedule and organized for timely, efficient patient care.
- Relay critical communications between the provider and office staff, including updates on treatments, prescriptions, or patient conditions
Enhance Patient Care:
- Use your bilingual or multilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring comfort and understanding.
- Assist with patient positioning during wound care treatments and provide compassionate, non-clinical support.
Coordinate Schedules and Logistics:
- Plan and confirm patient appointments daily, organizing efficient travel routes across assigned regions.
- Accompany providers in a company-provided vehicle, ensuring seamless care delivery
Ensure Operational Excellence:
- Maintain and organize medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are fully stocked and ready for each visit.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare partners, such as hospice and home health agencies.
Compliance and Safety:
- Protect and maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to all HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Handle patient information securely, ensuring all data is managed in compliance with privacy standards.
- Perform work responsibilities safely and comply with all appropriate company policies and procedures.
Proactive Engagement:
- Anticipate the needs of physicians and patients, taking initiative to address potential issues before they arise.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow and patient care, suggesting and implementing solutions as appropriate.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the team and enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
Bilingual or Multilingual Candidates Preferred:
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) and proficient in Spanish, Mandarin, or another language commonly spoken in California.
- Strong communication skills to connect with diverse patient populations and providers.
Preferred Healthcare Background:
- Certifications or experience in:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Medical Assistant (MA)
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Surgical Technician or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Other Key Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, home care, or mobile practice preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules and ensure time efficiency.
- Flexibility to work full-time, including occasional weekends, with part-time considered for exceptional candidates.
- Compassionate and professional demeanor with a strong focus on patient care.
Legal Requirements:
- Authorization to Work: Valid, unexpired authorization to work in the United States is required.
- Proof of Credentials: Ability to provide proof of education, certifications, and other relevant credentials.
