Field Application Engineer- Microsoft - Molex

Molex Data Communications and Specialty Solutions (DSS) is looking for a Field Application Engineer to support Microsoft, a key Molex customer. The FAE will play a critical role by providing technical expertise, troubleshooting, and ensuring the successful implementation and integration of our products. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with engineers to provide optimized solutions meeting the customer's application requirements.
• Identify new opportunities that align with the Molex product portfolio.
• Function as a technical advisor, offering insights and recommendations to optimize customer deployments.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues related to our products and solutions.
• Work with internal engineering teams to escalate and resolve critical customer issues.
• Identify market trends and communicate internally to drive innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer sites to be the first point of contact for new technical opportunities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Server/Switch R&D or FAE support of hyperscale customers
• Strong understanding of data center architecture, networking, storage, and compute technologies.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Knowledge of connector and cable assembly design or manufacturing process.
• Server or switch hardware design experience
• CAD modeling or PCB layout knowledge
• Experience using SAP and Salesforce
