Field Application Engineer - Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT)

Job Title: Applications Engineer

Location: Irvine,CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

Foxconn Interconnect Technology is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, Applications Engineer for our Bellevue, WA office.

As a vital member of our Sales and Marketing team, you will play a key role in developing custom interconnects for local OEMs, while leveraging the expertise of our factory teams based in Asia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and manufacture of connectors and cable assemblies, coupled with the capacity to lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from concept to launch.

· Serve as a technical project manager leading custom interconnect development programs for the consumer device and data center markets.

· Facilitate communication with local customers on technical requirements and provide design solutions/enhancements with the support of our product development teams based in Asia.

· Spearhead discussions with customers and our factory engineering teams on design, tooling, engineering build, qualification testing, scheduling, and launch plans.

· Provide technical support, lead investigations/root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to closure.

Education and Experience:

Must be able to work with minimal supervision and utilize knowledge, experience, and judgment to accomplish goals within the framework of a dynamic team-oriented environment:

· B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or other related engineering degree required.

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electronic interconnect or similar industry in a design, manufacturing, or application engineering role required.

· Project management, customer interface, and/or sales experience in an OEM assignment preferred.

· Some CAD, signal integrity, & EMI knowledge preferred.

· Fluency in Mandarin language is strongly preferred.

· Data center connectivity and/or industry experience preferred.
