Job Description:

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key member of the Fidelity Investments Life Insurance ("FILI") accounting team. You will be responsible for supporting month-end close activities.u00A0In addition, you will assist in preparing quarterly regulatory filings and annual financial statements.

• Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting schedules for the monthly and quarterly financial close;

• Responsible for variance analysis to support reviews of financial results;

• Collaborating with business partners to ensure accurate accounting and reporting;

• Documenting intercompany and related party transactions;

• Preparing audited financial statements and quarterly/annual regulatory filings;

• Supporting the external audit process including preparing requested schedules; and

• Streamlining processes and enhancing controls to improve efficiency of reporting.

The Expertise and The Skills You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred

• Minimum of three years experience in the Financial Services industry preferred but not required

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls and experience preparing financial statements and related disclosures

• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of management and business partners

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently

• Knowledge of financial systems and dynamic reporting tools (i.e., Oracle and Free Form Planning reporting tools) and are proficient in Excel
