Are you a seasoned professional in the construction industry with a knack for leading teams and managing manufacturing operations? We are seeking a Permanent Manufacturing Department Supervisor, who will be an integral part of our team. This dynamic role involves supervising the manufacturing department in our construction company, ensuring all operations are running smoothly, and maintaining top-notch quality standards. Experience working with fiberglass is a MUST!
Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, ensuring all activities align with our company's guidelines and objectives.
2. Utilize your expertise in fiberglass chopper guns and wet laying of fiberglass molds to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
3. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of skilled professionals, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
4. Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to these standards.
5. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of projects.
6. Troubleshoot any operational issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
7. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and facilitating professional growth opportunities for your team.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements, incorporating the most effective techniques into our manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing sector of the construction industry.
2. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with fiberglass, wet laying, and chopper guns.
3. Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing and motivating high-performing teams.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control techniques.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a knack for finding effective solutions to operational challenges.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
7. A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
8. A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
