Fiber Production Team Leader - 1st Shift - Advance Employment

The JobSquad Solutions is seeking a motivated individual who can manage a team, who’s a self-starter and has experience in a manufacturing team lead position. This person will be reporting to the Fiber Line Supervisor for an acoustic-lining manufacturer in Battle Creek, MI.

Shift and Pay Details:

• 1st Shift - 7am-7pm
• Alternating 12’s - Great for home-life balance!
• $20-23/hr - Based on experience

To qualify, you must:

• Have prior experience in a manufacturing setting
• Be able to perform work responsibilities safely and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Ability to obtain forklift license and complete Confined Space Training, and LOTO Training
• Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Setting up/operating various machines such as: Blend line, DOA air lay, oven, slitting machines, picker, cutting machine, roll winder, sizing/spray system, powder coater, and all opening equipment on the line
• Filling out production and downtime reports, as well as manning reports, HBH boards, and guiding the proper procedures for 1-hour PM (preventive maintenance) of the line.
• Having a good grasp of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and the Lock Out Tag Out procedure, and making sure it's followed.
• Checking the production schedule, ensuring proper staffing, and confirming the correct fiber blend setup. Also, reviewing all Quality Performance Reports (QPRs).
• Meeting with previous shift leaders to address any equipment or raw material issues.
• Assisting the supervisor in preparing equipment for operation and ensuring it runs at the right settings.
• Assigning tasks to line operators to maximize productivity and meet production standards.
• Managing changeovers efficiently and ensuring they're completed within the required time and in the correct sequence.
• Reporting any quality issues from the previous shift, producing products to required specifications, verifying proper fiber blend setup, and reviewing all QPRs.
