FD- FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC - City of Coppell

As a City of Coppell Firefighter/Paramedic (FF/P), your purpose is to protect life and property from fire, accidents, natural disasters, or other occurrences where the intervention of the department and its personnel can limit, contain, or prevent the loss of life and destruction of property. You are responsible for suppression, rescue activities, administering emergency medical services, code enforcement, and maintenance of medical equipment, facilities, and associated equipment.

• Fire Recruit is a temporary status for new employees while they complete their requirements to becoming a fully certified Firefighter/Paramedic.
• Firefighter/Paramedic is a status for employees who are fully certified.

Pay Structure
This opportunity is budgeted on a Step Plan.

• Fire Recruit:
  • Starting Annualized Salary of $75,000
• Firefighter/Paramedic: $5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus!
  • Step 1- Starting Annualized Salary of $84,900*

* Firefighter/Paramedic advertised starting annualized salary includes $2,400 paramedic certification pay.
