RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Adelante Mujeres Market Access team in the Microenterprise Department, the Farmers Market Crew Member provides logistical and customer service support to the Forest Grove and Cornelius Farmers Markets. This includes set-up and take-down, assist at the Information Booth, and support execution of special events. They will promote a community space for family engagement, intercultural exchange, and food access, in addition to supporting local small businesses that are vendors of the markets. The Farmers Market Crew Member will report to the Farmers Market Coordinator. Responsibilities include:
- Support the Farmers Market Team in all daily operational processes of the Market including set up, take down, and customer service.
- Work with the Farmers Market Operations Assistant to complete market currency accounting.
- Assist in the collection, tracking, and organization of farmers market data including volunteers, merch sales, crowd counts, and vendor attendance.
- Attend community outreach and tabling events to promote the farmers markets.
- Assist in the Farm to Pantry Program, including receiving, sorting, and distributing farm-fresh produce.
QUALIFICATIONS

- A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities
- Ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people, including excellent verbal and written communication
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of relevant experience working with the Latine community in local food distribution systems, market access, and sales channels
- Bilingual-Bicultural English/Spanishrequired
- Experience and familiarity with food access programs, like SNAP, WIC, etc.
- Ability to problem solve independently and work effectively in a team
- Experience with de-escalating conflicts with patience and non-violent communication
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work evenings in outdoor settings with exposure to typical Oregon weather conditions
- Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of up to 40 pounds
- Twist, bend, reach, stoop, carry weight, think strategically about how to properly move heavy items
- Prolonged walking and standing
- COVID-19 vaccine and boosters required except for religious or medical accommodation
- Complete Criminal Background Registry enrollment letter for facility number CC503161
- Possess or ability to obtain Oregon Food Handler's Permit (or acquired within 30 days from date of hire)
SALARY & BENEFITS
- Hourly range: $21.50 per hour, depending on qualifications
- Classification: Seasonal, Part-time (working up to 19.99 hours/week)
- Schedule: Wednesdays 1pm - 9:30pm, Fridays 1pm - 9:30pm, and occasional Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays through November 2025
- Benefits: Sick Time: 1 hour accrued per 30 hours worked, Paid Holidays: prorated based on hours worked current month.
