Farm Operations Manager - Gpac

A leader in the specialty crop industry is looking to hire a Farm Operations Manager. This position offers a robust compensation package including a base salary, bonuses, healthcare and many other bells and whistles! If you are looking for a career in the potato industry, this is for you!!

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and coordinate the operations necessary for specialty crop production, including but not limited to tillage, maintenance, planting, cultivating, harvest, etc.
• Help manage scheduling of fertilizer applications, irrigation, and chemical applications
• Consistently communicate about farm activities, challenges, and management decisions
• Support innovation of farm practices
• Ensure proper safety procedures for personnel and equipment are being followed at all times

Qualifications:

• 7+ years experience in the agriculture industry
• Valid driver’s license
• Good leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a team
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Potato experience preferred
