Overview:
The Family Practice FNP provides high quality medical care to adult & pediatric patients on a scheduled and unscheduled basis, consistent with accepted standards of clinical practice, including preventive activities such as screening examinations, comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis and treatment of minor, acute and chronic medical conditions.
One part-time position available; evening/night hours required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Provides high quality health care screening through interview and examination of adult & pediatric patients; formulates diagnosis and institutes treatment based on objective data gathered; makes referrals as indicated (i.e., specialty clinics).
Participates in regular chart reviews and other activities consistent with role as a primary care clinician maintaining a clinical practice within Client.
Performs all procedures and duties applicable to private practice in an office setting.
Works with the other members of the medical team to promote and maintain high quality medical care for the patients of the satellite health center.
Coordinates patient care with other clinicians.
Through coordination with the medical team, ensures clinical practice compliance with Managed Care/HMO, JCAHO, and Federal and State guidelines.
Participates in telephone on-call schedule as needed.
Requirements:
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner
Appropriate registration and license as required by New York State.
Minimum of two years clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, ideally in a Community Health Center setting.
Multi-lingual preferred
Previous related experience a plus
Board Certified and or Eligible

Salary: $135,000-$140,000
