UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown just opened a new hospital in Marshall County in April 2022, offering the latest technology and state-of-the-art medical facility.  In addition, it has primary care clinics located in Marshalltown, Conrad, State Center and Tama-Toledo and an Express Clinic in Marshalltown.

• Part-time (.6FTE) family medicine opportunity to join our practice in Tama/Toledo, IA
•  Join an established outpatient medicine practice that is a well-known clinic to the community.
• Dynamic community that offers an excellent Midwestern quality of life
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who knows the patients extremely well
• Outpatient- primary care for adults and children of all ages
• Supportive and experienced staff- 1 APP, Experience Specialists, and Nursing
• Day hours: M-F 7:30AM-5PM
• Lab & X-ray onsite
• Opportunity to float to additional FM clinic to assist with coverage
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

• Average 18-20 patients per day: no nights or weekends
• Uses and promotes evidence-based clinical practice
• Provides assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for all medical management of patients in primary care setting
• Provide preventive health screenings and immunizations to children and adults
• Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education
• Diagnose, treat, and monitor chronic diseases and pain management
• Services available onsite (i.e. digital x-ray & lab)
• Opportunity to perform basic procedures: Skin lesion removal, I & D, and joint injections
• Outpatient call 1:10 triaged first through the MyNurse call system (**PHONE CALL ONLY***)
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

• Commit to the best outcomes and highest quality

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Board Certified
• 1-2 years of experience preferred
• Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States
