Job Details
We are seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal who is familiar with Florida laws to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to our attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and paternity matters.
Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and court rules pertaining to family law proceedings in Florida.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discovery requests.
Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner.
Coordinate and manage case files, including organizing documents, scheduling appointments, and tracking deadlines.
Prepare and assist with court filings, hearings, and trial preparation.
Assist in mediation and settlement negotiations as needed.
Stay updated on changes in Florida family law and procedural rules.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a family law paralegal, preferably in Florida.
Proficient in legal research and document drafting.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with legal software and case management systems.
Knowledge of Florida family law statutes, rules of civil procedure, and local court rules.
Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
