The successful candidate will be a part of a thriving legal team, handling a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division. Is your background a match?
* JD from an accredited law school
* Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
* 4+ years of experience in family law practice, with a proven track record of successful client representation
* Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively
* Excellent research and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
* Able to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently, prioritizing effectively to meet all deadlines
* Possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
* Able to work collaboratively in a team, as well as independently
* Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development
What will you be doing?
* Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation
* Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts
* Provide legal advice concerning family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, and support, spousal support, and property division
* Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of the client
* Conduct legal research and gather evidence, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all legal advice provided
* Maintain client relationships, providing high-quality service and advice
* Collaborate with the legal team to develop effective case strategies
* Stay updated on current legislation and regulations that are relevant to the practice area
