Job Description: The firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and adoption. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about helping families navigate challenging legal issues and is looking to grow within a supportive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate for clients.
- Provide compassionate legal counsel and advice to clients facing difficult family law issues.
- Work closely with clients to develop case strategies and negotiate settlements.
- Manage a caseload while collaborating with other attorneys and support staff to ensure timely and effective legal representation.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school in Alabama.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law or related practice areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Alabama family law statutes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle emotionally charged cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases at once.
