GENERAL FUNCTION
The Faith in Action Coordinator will assist the director in all facets of the Sewickley Valley YMCA Faith in Action program, including planning, developing, training, administration, expansion and evaluation, supervision and development of care receivers and volunteers, promotion and fundraising. The incumbent is a team player who demonstrates strong skills in program development and administration, supervision, collaborative relationships, organization, and interpersonal and written communication. The incumbent accepts, demonstrates and teaches the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

- Drivers Corps
- Other duties may be added by the Director of Faith in Action
Salary: $14-$16 / hour - based on experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess an associate’s degree in a field related to Human Services, or a minimum of two years’ experience in working/volunteering with senior adults or coordinating program volunteers.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, decision-making, problem solving, leadership and supervisory skills.
- Acquire and maintain a current CPR certification within 6 weeks of employment.
- Possess a valid PA Driver’s License and automobile.
- Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and pleasantly by telephone.
- Demonstrate an ability to:
- Read, interpret and effectively communicate and document information and instructions from various media.
- Perform mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.
- Effectively write reports, business correspondence, articles, press releases, and other communications.
- Work effectively with Microsoft Office applications, and learn Access database usage.
- Solve problems and take a leadership role in calmly and efficiently handling a variety of personalities, situations, problems, issues and /or concerns from care receivers and volunteers.
- Work with a minimum of supervision.
- Work as part of the YMCA staff team.
All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current clearances the Y will help you obtain them.
