We're excited to announce an opportunity to join the Test Technician and Failure Analysis teams of an industry-leading electromechanical manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain solutions provider in the Richardson, Texas market. - Pay Rate: $25 per hour
- Contract Length: Through at least the end of 2024 – with potential for permanent placement!
- Shift: Weekend shifts on 1st shift, from 7 AM to 7:30 PM (Fri-Sun)
As a Test Technician, your responsibilities will include providing advanced technical support for printed circuit boards, subassemblies, production equipment, and related products. Additional responsibilities for Electrical Test Technicians include:
- Setting up and conducting new, unconventional, or intricate tests, procedures, experiments, simulations, or modifications.
- Analyzing PCB schematics, circuit descriptions, and other technical documents.
- Validating tests and test setups.
- Assisting in designing and debugging test fixtures, cables, and other equipment.
- Crafting and arranging circuitry for test fixtures to facilitate testing procedures.
Qualified candidates should possess:
- 2-4+ years of experience as a Test Technician
- High School Diploma or equivalent – with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong foundation in Engineering Competencies
- Proficiency in electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems, as well as testing and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with computer programming and relevant applications like C++, ECAD, MCAD, etc.
- Ability to interpret product specifications, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical measurement, calibration, and test equipment, including their functions and applications.
