Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer for a well-established computer electronics manufacturing client. The role is 100% onsite in Grapevine, TX. This is a Hardware failure analysis role.
The Hardware Failure Analysis Engineer will be responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and resolving hardware-related issues in our products. This individual will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to conduct detailed failure analyses, provide root cause analysis (RCA), and contribute to the improvement of product design and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with failure analysis techniques, and a solid understanding of electronics and hardware systems.
Responsibilities:
- Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation:
- Perform in-depth hardware failure analysis using various tools and techniques, such as visual inspection, electrical testing, X-ray inspection, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and thermal analysis. Identify root causes of hardware failures and document findings.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to communicate failure findings and collaborate on solutions. Provide clear and concise failure reports, including detailed analyses and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Testing & Evaluation:
- Design and execute failure replication tests, environmental stress tests, and electrical or mechanical tests to replicate issues. Document results and offer data-driven insights to improve hardware robustness and performance.
- Trend Analysis & Reporting:
- Track and analyze trends in hardware failures to identify potential systemic issues or recurring problems. Generate and present regular reports on failure analysis findings to management and other stakeho
