Essential Functions
- Provides support to faculty, administrators, students, and staff by implementing and administering day-to-day functions of the department
- Coordinates three or more major departmental functions, including program administration, curriculum support, budget/finance, human resources, communications/outreach, compliance, and/or research administration
- Interprets implements and ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and recommends alternative solutions
- Reviews and monitors trends to provide recommendations to streamline functions in the department
- Monitors and tracks budgets and expenditures, reallocates funds, processes financial transactions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Additional Functions
- Manages purchasing for faculty and their courses through the expense and procurement modules of the university's financial software, and performs detailed tracking and reconciliation for faculty research funds and grants
- Serves as backup for the school's senior accounting assistant
- Acts as the primary point of contact for the school's faculty, assisting with tasks such as room reservations, course page setup, coordinating committee meetings, and expense purchasing
- Assists with student group course travel and logistics
- Serves as front office receptionist, which includes greeting visitors, purchasing office supplies, distributing mail, and maintaining office and kitchen spaces
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- Three years of related administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- One year of administrative experience in higher education in a position that included financial responsibilities
