Immediate opportunities are available for talented Factory Specialist who wants to become part of the Johnson Controls team. Our Factory Specialist reads and comprehends electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics and performs troubleshooting and repairs of these systems. Works together with Engineering and helps implement new procedures/processes.

- Support Lean, Six Sigma and Best Business Practices projects, including investigation, buy-in and roll out of projects completed across the division
- Collaborates with Quality Control and manufacturing personnel to ensure that process and equipment produce a product that meets or exceeds Quality Control and Engineering standards.
- Leverage Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies to ensure performance specifications are met before releasing new processes to production.
- Use analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root cause issues, identify solutions, monitor new processes (including new equipment and tools), and collaborate to course correct, when needed.
- Use effective time management to implement improvement projects on-time.
- Ensure work is performed in adherence to good housekeeping and safety practices.
- Use effective and clear communication keep management and critical stakeholders informed.
- Provide written communication, documentation, and reports.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Minimum two years’ experience working with manufacturing processes, equipment, and preventative maintenance programs
- Minimum two years’ experience of PLC automation/programming or equivalent education from accredited trade school, in lieu of experience.
- Must be able to read and comprehend electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics and perform troubleshooting and repairs of these systems.
- Must have experience working in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills both with internal team members, customers and vendors.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to convert metric system measurements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
- Understanding of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
- Ability to lift and move heavy steel materials (up to 100 lbs or more).
- Ability to stand, bend, stair climb, crawl, work at heights and tights spaces, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Capability to work in various industrial conditions (e.g., noise, heat, etc.)
