The Role:
Supports building and facilities operations. Monitors, operates, diagnosis, and light repairs to HVAC, Chillers, Air Compressors, Vacuum Systems, Electrical Systems, Fire Protection Systems and chilled water pumps.
Your contribution to our vision (responsibilities):
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including correcting unsafe acts/conditions.
- Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations; recommend maintenance for mechanical, electrical and facility equipment and structures.
- Ensure task and duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor and operate BMS systems for facility operations.
- Understand Siemens and Allen Bradley components.
- Ensure proper shift pass down reports to day shift lead and Facility Manager.
- Monitor and operate of air handlers and HVAC equipment.
- Monitor and operate Air Cooled chillers.
- Cooling tower monitor and operations.
- Maintain and ensure adherence to sanitation practices.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP's) for area of responsibility.
- Effectively respond to directions during emergencies by understanding emergency procedures, equipment and systems as necessary. Implement contingency plan to the level required.
- Comply with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste.
- Apply LOTO procedures when needed.
- Perform minor building repairs.
- Able to work night shifts and weekends as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
You bring:
- 3 year of related experience.
- Strong understanding of warehouse control systems.
- Ability to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation drawings.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, HVAC and chilled water systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and train others.
- Able to work independently as well as working within a team.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in the duties and record keeping.
- Take initiative; proactive instead of reactive.
- Have the ability to write a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program.
A Plus:
- Facilities Technician Certification.
- OSHA Basics Knowledge.
- NFPA Basic Codes Knowledge (NFPA 13) (NFPA 25).
