REQUIRES MINIMUM SECRET DoD Clearance
Facility Security Officer (FSO) at client’s branch office in Goleta, CA office. Responsible for deploying industrial security program initiatives in coordination with the Corporate FSO and branch Senior Management Official (SMO).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES or KEY RESULTS OF THE JOB
1. Process personnel security clearances. 2. Prepare VARs and provide threat briefings when applicable. 3. Maintain and monitor DISS system of record and NISS facility profile. 4. Conduct internal security self-inspections, prepare for and complete annual security assessment with DCSA. 5. Prepare and provide specialized briefings and track completion and refresher dates 6. Monitor classified inventory. 7. Train personnel on reportable events and ensure compliance including, but not limited to SEAD3 reporting. 8. Review SCGs and contracts applicable to contractual scope of work. 9. Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure security and compliance meets NISPOM and related DoD relevant requirements. 10. Process incoming and outgoing shipments 12. Assist Corporate FSO on special projects and communicate best practice changes, efficiencies, and continuous improvement opportunities. 13. Remain educated with industrial security changes, updates, and threat awareness. 14. Work collaboratively with engineers, ISSO and personnel, and process system access requests.

What background (education or experience), skills and competencies are typical of successful job holders?
Must have attended and passed the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities training curriculum.
