For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Agricultural Research Service through the Experienced Worker Program (EWP). *This position will be open until filled. | ||||||
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in facility management, or property management, or general engineering, or construction management, or maintenance, or project management. OR AA Degree in Construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, Property Management.
Duties: Support day to day facility operations and maintenance for the National Agricultural Library.Work involves tasks and visits throughout the facility and requires physical exertion (walking, standing, bending, inspecting and adjusting technical devices.) More strenuous activity is required, such as inspecting inaccessible utilities, climbing ladders, making minor repairs, assisting in lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), and using appropriate equipment.
