Facility Maintenance Technician - Globe Machine Manufacturing

Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & paper.
The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot and repair Globe property by self-performing or assisting maintenance personnel. The selected candidate will take pride in ensuring Globe's facilities remain maintained and in top working order.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain company forklifts, trucks, vans, man lifts and the similar by performing oil changes, tune-ups and engine maintenance.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on grinders, electrical wire changers, hand tools and other small tools.
- Assist with maintenance on machines within the Machine Shop.
- Perform general grounds and landscape maintenance.
- Maintain and repair interior and exterior finishes of buildings including painting, caulking, and waterproofing.
- Ensure facilities are clean in appearance, removing trash as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.
- Minimum of two years of general maintenance experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment required.
- Basic knowledge of hand and small power tools and familiarity with machinery is desired.
- Proven success maintaining commercial vehicles required.
- Valid state driver's license in good standing is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment, proactively contributing ideas to improve operations required.
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
- Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
- Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
