About the Job
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- Supporting all Facilities, Environmental Health & Safety, and IT related aspects of the Garden Grove Facility as instructed by the supervisor
- Maintain a clean building environment, Air blow & clean parking lot, remove debris from various areas and keep clean, wash and clean windows of the facility, perform various light facility repairs, patch and paint, etc
- Inspect, evaluate, clean, maintain as needed various facilities equipment, such as Kensol/Franklin Auto press, Autolabe label applicator, centrifuges, Promega glomax, folding & cutting machine.
- Clean coils of all AC units, Clean and sanitize 2 filling rooms
- Inspect and verify the quality of the purification water system is properly maintained and functioning correctly. Replace D.I. water filter drops in all laboratories as needed.
- Inspect all freezers and coolers. Remove ice buildup and replace burnt lights. Sweep floors.
- Inspect all offices or main pathways for carpet stains. If stains are found, wash and dry.
- Clean all air vents and inspect for air flow
- Perform maintenance on gate motor
- Perform maintenance on coffee brewers and stock up on coffee supplies.
- Stock water on mini refrigerators
- Wash all lap equipment and containers, wash and clean laboratories sink, sweep & mop washroom floor.
- Clean all floor drains, wash and maintain all solar panels, wash all skylights.
- Turn on sprinklers from back parking lot & inspect all landscape sprinklers if broken.
- Deal with emergency alarm calls & troubleshoot temperature sensors
- Inspect cracked or broken floor tiles. Replace if needed
- Inspect all light fixtures if ballasts or lights need replacement
- Collect incoming mail & sort from Kovas & Hycor’s
- Assist in the maintenance of production equipment as assigned.
- Restock all clean labware from washroom to laboratories. Restock and organize janitorial supplies when delivered
- Maintain and replace water filters on water fountains.
- Repair ceiling tiles, Repair plumbing issues, Shred documents
- Relocate offices or employees
- Strip and wax facility floors
- Maintain OSHA-related logbooks.
- Perform production equipment preventative maintenance on a regular basis.
- Remove all bio-hazard waste from all laboratories.
- Inspect supplies on all first aid kits if low stock up, inspect all hand sanitizers, refill if needed
- Inspect and clean eyewash & showers.
- Support IT as needed to move and connect computer-related equipment.
- Keep G.M.P. of facilities up to operating standards.
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- Interact with all co-workers and management in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way.
Education: | High school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses/Certifications: | Valid California Driver’s License |
Skills/Abilities: | Ability to operate pallet jack; knowledge of electrical / mechanical basics; basic math, reading and writing skills; basic tool use. |
Experience: | 2+ years maintenance experience in a food processing, medical device or pharmaceutical plant operation. Must be familiar with OSHA, FDA and GMP regulations. |
