Kett Engineering is seeking a Facility Groundskeeper to work at our customer's automotive proving ground in Maricopa, AZ!
Role Summary:
Under the direction of the Facilities Track and Fleet Supervisor, performs routine to complex facility and grounds maintenance tasks and duties. Inspect and maintain all areas of landscaping to include but not limit to trees, oleanders, and bushes. Use heavy-duty equipment (4K Water Truck, Case Agriculture tractor with deck mower, Gannon tractor, and various types of landscape tools) to support daily work functions.
Role Responsibilities:
Grounds Maintenance / Landscaping 100%
Maintain all landscaped areas at APG.
Trim campus trees regularly to provide shade and clean appearance
Repair irrigation leaks on campus and oleander landscaping systems
Perform and /or manage vendor for campus weed control and abatement.
Other tasks required.

Specialized Skills Required:
Valid driver's license required
Knowledge of commercial irrigation systems
Knowledge of tree and oleander maintenance
Knowledge of agricultural and landscape equipment operation
Familiarity with weed abatement
Must be able to provide excellent verbal, written communications.
Desired:
Trained horticulturist
Licensed weed abatement
Experienced agriculture equipment operator
Years of Experience:
3 years' experience in facility grounds keeping and landscaping.
Education Required:
High school diploma – GED
Relevant training or experience in related field such as horticulture and landscaping
Desired: Associates degree or specialized training in horticulture or landscape maintenance
Work Flexibility:
Work schedule based on business requirements (minimum 40 hours/week) including occasional Saturday and occasional overtime. Core work hours are 7am – 4pmOften driving a motor vehicle, including performance class and prototypes, which may require completion of special training.
Occasionally walk, stand, or stoop.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
