Education/Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Read and understand daily work schedule, online work order system, safety regulations, instructions and maintenance manuals and Center policies.
Fill out reports and orders as required.
Knowledge and proficiency in proper and safe use of hand/power tools used in repairs and light construction.
Language Ability - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak with customers and co-workers in a customer-service manner.
Math Ability - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Basic skills with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook word processing software; Internet software and Track It project management software.
Certificates and Licenses - Valid California Driver's License.
Work Environment - Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
