Pay Range - $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (Dependent upon Experience)
*Voluntary Overtime available at 1.5x standard hourly rate
*Manufacturing Incentive Bonuses up to $150.00 each month
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)
- Monday - Friday (Occasionally Saturday)
Work Location: Onsite at Two locations (Buffalo Rd and Trabold Rd - Rochester, NY). Sites are within 5 minutes of one another.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of electrical trade functions to include installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Applies general knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, painting, and masonry work as needed.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the appropriate equipment to determine the most efficient course of action.
- Estimates repair costs and obtains authorization prior to beginning work for all repairs.
- Contacts vendors via telephone to obtain repair items, components, and information as needed.
- Performs checks on machines to assure the proper functioning of wiring systems.
- Inspects, tests, and adjusts all systems, machinery, and equipment on a regular basis.
- Connects electrical wire to machines and wires machines according to specifications.
- Replaces, repairs and calibrates machine components as needed.
- Inspects damaged parts, determines the nature of repair and uses repair tools to rework or refinish parts.
- Records inspections, tests and repairs.
- Installs special functional and structural parts and equipment.
- Connects new machines to wiring systems as needed.
- Follows all safety instructions always and reports any potential safety hazards.
- Back up for Custodian
- On Call Rotation
- Snow plowing when needed
- Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge & Skills Preferred:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Basic computer skills including file structure and navigation; Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Education & Experience Preferred:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Our facilities are climate controlled due to our manufacturing processes and for employee comfort year-round.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather) and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
