About the Job
Purpose:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all general building and HVAC/UPW equipment
and systems, including air compressors, chillers, boiling systems, process vacuum systems, and
industrial wastewater. Also responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating all
electrical/instrumentation systems including clean room sensors/controls, VFD drivers, fire
monitoring, motor controls, and control valves. Responds to plant site alarms as needed on a 24
hour per day, 7 days per week basis. Oversees contractor services performed on-site and
equipment installations as they pertain to plant site utility and instrumentation distribution.
Knowledge / Experience:
• Minimum of five years of facilities experience in a clean room / industrial plant setting
• Working knowledge of industrial HVAC and chemical exhaust systems
• Working knowledge of general building maintenance
• Working knowledge of electrical instrumentation
• Working knowledge of clean room protocol and micro-contamination prevention including
things such as utility distribution piping and HVAC
• Working knowledge of industrial, electrical, and clean room instrumentation protocol indirect
support of manufacturing and administrative areas
• Working knowledge of clean room distribution piping, control valve, sensor location, and start
up sequence
• Working knowledge of environmental, health and safety processes, including fire protection
systems, hazardous chemical handling, chemical spill cleanup, confined space entry and
lockout/tagout
• Working knowledge of Integrated security systems, including Lenel security systems, is a
plus
• Certificate in Hazardous Materials Management is a plus
