The Facilities Technician will perform repairs, emergency sanitation services, ensure OSHA/CARF compliance and manage vendor relations at various Trilogy locations. These locations consist of Administrative Buildings, Healthcare Centers, and transitional residences across Chicago. This position includes ongoing communication with landlords, vendors, and subcontractor partnerships to ensure effective operations of all sites.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive repairs; i.e., painting, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
- Actively support the after hours emergency support team.
- Clean machinery, equipment, and exterior of the building, including snow removal
- Ensure properties and locations comply with all applicable Accreditation and legal standards.
- Follow procedures for storage/disposal of waste and transport to designated areas
- Respond to emergency calls for facility repairs; and accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
- Secure facility; and ensure building is locked/unlocked as required
- Maintain Inventory of facility supplies and equipment; communicate needs to supervisor.
- Complete all required external and internal reports timely and accurately
- Maintain relationships/primary contact with contracted vendors as assigned.
- Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), state/local, federal, and Trilogy regulations
- Exhibit the ability to work independently when assigned tasks and proactively identify and rectify observed facility issues.
- Exhibit excellent customer service with all stakeholders.
- Drive to all Trilogy sites to support Facility operations.
- Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum two year facility maintenance experience required
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) as evidenced by previous positions or certifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with daily access to a well-maintained vehicle $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance
- Basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations, etc.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and technical procedures/governmental regulations; i.e., safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
- Ability to work in a team and follow direction from Supervisors
- May be required to work outside of regular work hours and some weekends
