Maintenance Technician (Electrical) - Industrial Equipment Manufacturer (34713) at Activ8

An Industrial Equipment Manufacturer is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team by the Elk Grove Village, IL area. This role will handle maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and minimizing downtime.

This is a full-time, and direct hire position with benefits. Work hours are on 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and adhere to maintenance schedules for all production equipment, machinery, and facility systems
• Maintain records of all performed maintenance and repairs
• Manage the inventory of spare parts, including restocking and organization
• Conduct repairs to machinery, electrical systems, and facilities whenever needed
• Perform daily inspections of production equipment and facilities, identifying any signs of wear or potential issues
• Read electrical schematics and manuals to resolve mechanical and electrical failures
• Contribute to plant maintenance activities and help maintain a safe, functional working environment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Must have prior experience in maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience with extruders or plastics is a plus.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components
• Proficient in using basic computer applications (Excel, Word)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed
• A strong team player with excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• This position is safety-sensitive and requires strict adherence to safety protocols

This position includes manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
