Premier Early Childhood Education Partners is a private early childhood education organization seeking a Facilities Project Manager! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic professional who is passionate about early childhood education.
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or related study and 0-5 years of relevant experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Travel: This role will include up to 50% nationwide travel. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days working in our downtown Chicago office. Applicants must be based out of the Chicago area.
Start Date: This role will start in January 2025
Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience and education + annual bonus

Our Hiring Process:

- Virtual interview with Vice President of Real Estate Operations and Facilities Manager (60 minutes)

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Assist on a wide range of facility functions for new and acquired businesses by Premier.
- For acquired businesses, coordinate vendor lists, capex construction, building permit acquisitions, project scheduling and completion of punch lists.
- Assist with core maintenance functions including day to day operations of facilities.
- Assist on multiple levels of construction and real estate functions.
- Learn multiple construction and maintenance systems, including Procore, Smartsheet and Service Channel.
- Meet weekly and communicate daily with construction staff.Assess project progress, schedule, changes, and deliveries.
- Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders.
- Execute new facility builds/moves against company standard project plan.
- Contact and coordinate professionals and specialty vendors for repairs as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for all employees with proper lighting, signage, and disability access.
- Inspect building frequently for signs of damage or wear.
- Manage repairs and maintenance as required to meet tenant contractual obligations.
- Maintain facility spaces to GHG standards.
- Manage the coordination of building space allocation and layout, including seat assignments and changes.
- Oversee subcontractors for compliance to acceptable standards of performance and verify completion of repairs and maintenance in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the management of physical security controls with IT, such as the card access system, security system/burglar alarm, and video surveillance system.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program and schedule for all generators.
- Ensure safety at all times.
- Wear multiple hats if needed and being a team player in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
