Facilities Office Clerk
- HOURS: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
- HOURLY PAY: $18+/hr
- LOCATION: Parsippany, NJ
Job Summary
The facilities Office Clerk is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager with all purchasing, maintenance and cleaning initiatives within the Distribution Center.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare purchase orders, place orders, verify receipt of goods, review/approve invoices for processing.
- Coordinate returns, verify replacement/exchange of items shipped or invoiced incorrectly.
- Match work orders with invoices, confirm that preventative maintenance has been completed per agreements before submitting to Corporate.
- Manage supply closet inventory.
- Coordinate maintenance or replacement of office equipment including cafeteria equipment.
- Schedule uniform cleaning/replacement and review/approve invoices for processing.
- Support the Department Manager with oversight of the cleaning crew.
- Perform research relative to items/vendors that may better comply with Company or vendor requirements.
- Provide backup to HR Coordinator by delivering temporary employee safety orientation and onboarding as needed.
- Answer phone calls not picked up by Auto Attendant. Place phones on night status and back to day/open status daily.
- Coordinates and supports safety initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with data entry.
- Bilingual helpful (English/Spanish).
- Associate degree in Business or similar discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in office environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $19.00 Per Hour
