Position Title: Facility Manager
Work Schedule/ Location: Fully on site in San Francisco, CA
Hours: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $56 - $63/ hour
Temporary for 2-3 months
Under the direction and supervision of the Director, the facility manager is responsible for overseeing work to ensure that all facilities (owned or leased) with related equipment are maintained per all applicable rules, regulations and building code requirements. The Manager will
work collaboratively with other Managers, Directors, Supervisors, and staff within the organization to ensure effective communication and coordination across functions.
- Provide planning and oversight of new projects as well as building and equipment management and maintenance for all properties and ensures safety and security for all employees and visitors. Work with the Director to establish and maintain performance standards throughout the department:
- Check all facilities for proper maintenance and work with the Director to plan recommendations for major repairs and replacements.
- Coordinate the planning, organization and maintenance of storage areas.
- Hiring manager for the team.
- Assist in the creation and management of process for asset management, medical/office equipment certifications and daily work order management. Maintain appropriate maintenance and documentation for licenses, manage CMMS system, and repair logs to assure timely follow up.
- Manage utilities for all facilities:
- Troubleshoots problems, monitors usage.
- Long term planning and coordination to arrange for regular maintenance of building systems such as fire alarms, security alarms, heating system, elevators, etc.
- Checks and controls water, gas and electric systems.
- Knowledge of technologies for integrated building systems.
- Assist in the planning, development and supervision of facilities' fire, safety and disaster efforts in coordination with the Director.
- Support the Director in the development and managing of annual and multiyear budgets and related department goals to support organizational needs.
- Manages bill/payment and coordinates with the Director and the Accounting Department in tracking, trending and reviewing utility bills/service contracts, etc., for accuracy and cost control.
- Provide mentoring, direction and support to department staff to ensure effective orientation, training and job related performance as well as high customer service to internal and external customers. Meet with key stakeholders regularly to ensure effective and timely communication
