FACILITIES MANAGER AT INTERNATIONAL MEDIA-NEWS FIRM
Base Salary is $65K to $75K (based upon experience & candidate)
Manhattan East Village Location (easy public transportation access)
Globally recognized, international media/new firm looking for an experienced facilities professional to join its NYC Office as a Facilities Manager . Incredible organization working with equally incredible people. Office is in Manhattan's East Village with easy access to public transportation and working Onsite Five (5) Days per Week from 9am-5pm (some flexibility required).
As the Facilities Manager, will oversee the planning, and optimization of our organization's facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing facility management tactics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will bring experience in facility operations.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- One Plus (1+) years of Facility Operations experience required
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with office moves
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations
- Supply management and inventory control
- Tracking budget expenses
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility Management & Office Operations:
- Strategic Asset Management: Emphasize leadership in overseeing the lifecycle of building systems and equipment, from procurement and installation to maintenance and optimization.
- Integrated Workplace Solutions: Highlight expertise in managing a complex ecosystem of services, including cleaning, security, IT infrastructure, and building automation.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Showcase the ability to leverage building management systems (Client), energy dashboards, and performance analytics to inform proactive management decisions.
- Building Automation Systems (Client): Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting HVAC, lighting, security, and access control systems.
- Project Management: Experience in planning and executing capital improvement projects, renovations, and space reconfigurations.
- Managing the upcoming office move for our U.S. operations. In this capacity, you will be serving as the primary point of contact for various departments, including Finance, Editorial, HR, and IT.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for office-related services.
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs vs. budget needs.
- Manage tendering processes for office vendors and service providers for contracts and price negotiations.
- Supervise budgets for inventory and orders as needed.
- Manage office moves, setups, and reconfigurations.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce health and safety standards to create a secure working environment. Stay abreast of relevant regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in accordance with local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and coordinate emergency response procedures.
- Keep abreast of COVID-19 guidelines and ensure compliance within the office.
- Conduct an Annual Health and Safety Questionnaire and liaison with Facilities HQ.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT on employee onboarding and offboarding processes, and office layout/new hire seating.
- Serve as the point of contact for office-related inquiries and issues related to facilities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative office culture.
